Navigating the skybound platforms of Pywel brings unique challenges during the Chapter 5 main story quest, Toward the Nest, in Crimson Desert. Players venturing into the floating Abyss location are charged with an intricate environmental puzzle that blocks further campaign progress. Successfully clearing this section requires aligning high-powered laser beams, repairing broken energy cables, and triggering the final activation device to reach the Crow's Nest.
Understanding the Abyss Puzzle Layout
Upon arriving at the Crescent Skybridge via the Spire of Soaring, you will find yourself surrounded by multiple floating platforms, deadly flora, and disconnected machinery. The central goal is to fully restore power across the chasm so that the bridge gate opens toward your destination. Caution is required when exploring the terrain, as hazardous purple flowers scattered around the platforms can deplete your health rapidly upon contact.
Aligning the Laser Orbs
To begin restoring power, ascend to the upper platform ring where three distinct laser devices are located. While the center device is usually pre-aligned, the left and right devices must be manually aimed. Grab the back of each mechanism using Axiom Force and rotate the turrets until their blue light beams directly strike the target receptors across the gap.
Repairing the Broken Cables
Once all laser receptors receive power, you must cross the open chasm to fix the physical power lines. Use a combination of jumps, aerial abilities, and your glider to safely navigate across the floating pillars. Locate the two severed stone cables—one positioned near the left ledge and another near the right circular device—and interact with them to reconnect the circuit.
Triggering the Final Activation Switch
With the lasers aligned and both cables connected, the primary central mechanism will illuminate. Climb onto the large circular disc at the center console and execute a Force Palm strike to activate the system. You can then grab and turn the newly exposed switch with Axiom Force to open the Skybridge, allowing you to advance toward your next major confrontation.
